 Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific organization (ALECSO)​

​​​​​​​​​​The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific organization (ALECSO) is a Tunis - based institution of the Arab League. It was founded on 25 July 1970, with 22 member states. ALECSO aims at developing and coordinating activities related to educational, cultural and scientific areas in the Arab world. ALECSO is headed by a Director General. ALECSO's organizational structure is composed of the General Conference, Executive Board in addition to five different departments for education, culture, science, information, communications, finance and administration. ALECSO has five regional offices and institutes. ​
